Galatasaray vs Manchester United Prediction, Tips & Stats

Manchester United travel to RAMS Park to face Galatasaray in the penultimate week of the Champions League. Both teams are fighting for the final qualification place, with three different teams in the running, making a win a must for both sides.

Galatasaray currently sit third in Group A after four games. The Turkish side have one win, one draw and two losses, leaving them on four points, equal with Copenhagen but one point ahead of Manchester United.

In their last five games in all competitions, Galatasaray have three wins and two losses. Sergio Oliveira scored the only goal of the game in the second half in the 1 - 0 win for Galatasaray over Rizespor. A brace from Wilfried Zaha gave Galatasaray the 2 - 0 lead early in the second half and despite a goal from Kenneth Omeruo just three minutes later, Galatasaray held on for a 2 - 1 win over Kasimpasa.

In the Champions League, Galatasaray travelled to Bayern Munich. A late brace from Harry Kane gave Bayern the 2 - 0 lead going into the last five minutes of normal time. Cedric Bakambu did manage to get Galatasaray on the scoresheet, but the 93rd-minute goal was too late to rescue a point as Bayern won 2 - 1. Back in the Super Lig, Rigoberto Rivas gave Hatayspor the lead in the 14th minute, but a goal from Zaha meant that it was level at halftime. Despite having just 28% of the possession, Didier Lamkel Ze scored to give Hatayspor the 2 - 1 win.

The last time out for Galatasaray was against Alanyaspor. Mauro Icardi and Zaha both scored as well as a brace from Dries Mertens in the 4 - 0 thrashing of Alanyaspor.

Manchester United currently sit rock bottom of Group. In four games, United have one win and three losses which leaves them on just three points and one point behind both Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

In their last five games in all competitions, Man United have three wins and two losses. In the Round of 16 of the League Cup, United hosted Newcastle. Miguel Almiron, Lewis Hall and Joe Willock all scored in the 3 - 0 dismantling of United despite having just 38% of the possession. However, United bounced back against Fulham. Bruno Fernandes left it until the 91st minute to grab the 1 - 0 win for United.

In the Champions League, United faced Copenhagen. Rasmus Hojlund gave United an early 2 - 0 lead but Mohamed Elyounoussi and Diogo Goncalves both scored to make it 2 - 2 at halftime after a red card to Marcus Rashford. A penalty from Fernandes gave United back the lead but goals from Lukas Lerager and Roony Bardghji gave Copenhagen the 4 - 3 win. There was another 1 - 0 win in the Premier League, this time Victor Lindelof scored to beat Luton Town.

The most recent outing for United was against Everton. Alejandro Garnacho scored a wonder goal and was joined on the scoresheet by Rashford and Anthony Martial in the 3 - 0 win for United.

Galatasaray and Man United have met seven times in their histories, with the first meeting coming all the way back in 1993. Both sides have picked up two wins each in this fixture, but a draw is the most common outcome, happening on three occasions.
