Inter Milan and Porto are back in the Champions League this Wednesday as the Italian side heads into this one in a having greatly improved their form since the World Cup just as Porto continues to chase down Benfica in the Primeira Liga.
Porto have been adrift of the league leaders Benfica for most of the season. The club are, however, heading into this game off the back of winning the past 10 games and only letting go of points once in 2023 so far - this came in a 0-0 draw with Casa Pia at the start of January.
In fact, Porto have now reigned supreme in 16 league games and lost only twice in the Primeira Liga, alongside three defeats as well. Porto have also let in just 12 goals, which is one fewer than the league leaders, as they've scored 48 of their own too. In their group stage, Porto won four and lost two, as they finished above Club Brugge, Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid. Last time out, Sérgio Conceição's side edged past Rio Ave in the league, as Toni Martinez scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 at home.
Inter got back into the win column last weekend with a 3-1 win over Udinese last time out. Simeone Inzaghi's men scored twice in the final 20 minutes of the match, as Romelu Lukaku missed a penalty before scoring the retake because the keeper moved off his line. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Lautaro Martinez also scored a goal each.
BTTS in both halves, each team 2+ corners in each half and each team 20+ booking pts is up at 200/1 in this one and 1+ shot on target each team in each half is all the way down at 1/1. Lautaro Martinez 3+ shots on target is also at 15/2 - Martinez has hit the target 11 times in his last 4 games. Romelu Lukaku to score a header is boosted to 12/1 and Lukaku has scored 3 Champions League headers in his career. Romelu Lukaku to score first and either Inter 2-0 or Inter 3-0 is also boosted to 14/1
Despite the greatly improved form in Italy, Inter did struggle in the group stages. The 19-time Serie A winners finished second and only three points above Barcelona in Group C, while also finishing eight behind Bayern Munich, who smashed them twice across both their games. In the end, it was their results against Barcelona that saw them through, as they played out a 1-0 win over Barcelona at the San Siro before a sensational 3-3 draw that saw three goals in the last 10 minutes.
