The Stade Bollaert-Delelis hosts Lens and Sevilla this Tuesday in the last week of the Champions League Group stage. Sevilla is already out of the running for the knock-out stages, but Lens will need a win and a PSV loss in order to stand a chance of qualification.
Lens currently sit third in Group B after five games. The French side have one win, two draws and two losses which leaves them on five points, three points behind PSV and seven points behind Arsenal.
In their last five games in all competitions, Lens have three wins, one draw and one loss. In Ligue 1, Lens hosted Marseille. A tight game ended with a Lens win as Jonathan Gradit scored in the 90th minute to give Lens the 1 - 0 win. Both sides had a man sent off in the first half as Elye Wahi was sent off for Lens and Alidu Seidu was sent off for Clermont Foot. However, a first half goal from Wahi and second half goals from Adrien Thomasson and Wesley Said gave ten-man Lens the 3 - 0 win.
In the Champions League, Lens travelled to London to face Arsenal. Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard and Jorginho all scored in the 6 - 0 win for Arsenal. Back in Ligue 1, Lens hosted Lyon in a jam packed game. Jake O’Brien opened the scoring for Lyon in the 15th minute but Said equalised before halftime. A Przemyslaw Frankowski’s penalty put Lens ahead but O’Brien’s second goal made it 2 - 2. Frankowski scored again for the 3 - 2 win despite the late red card for Florian Sotoca.
The last time out for Lens was a 0 - 0 draw with Montpellier. Lens had 66% of the possession and five shots on target but just couldn't find a way through.
Sevilla sit below Lens, bottom of Group B. In five games, Sevilla have two draws and three losses, leaving them on two points and six points behind PSV in the last qualification spot.
In their last five games in all competitions, Sevilla have one win, one draw and three losses. Both Sergio Ramos and Jesus Navas were shown late red cards in the 2 - 1 loss to Real Sociedad. A Marko Dmitrovic own goal and an Umar Sadiq goal gave Sociedad the 2 - 0 lead at halftime. Youssef En-Nesyri got Sevilla back into the game but the red cards killed the chance at a comeback. In the Champions League, Sevilla hosted PSV. Yet again, Sevilla suffered another two red cards, this time for Lucas Ocampos and Fernando. Ramos and En-Nesyri both scored for Sevilla, but goals from Ismael Saibari and Ricardo Pepi and an own goal from Nemanja Gudelj gave PSV the 3 - 2 win.
Kike Salas opened the scoring for Sevilla in the 75th minute but Jose Luis Morales equalised for Villarreal just two minutes later in the 1 - 1 draw. In the Second round of the Copa del Rey, Sevilla visited Atl Astorga. A Ramos penalty and a goal from Federico Gattoni gave Sevilla the 2 - 0 win.
The most recent outing for Sevilla was against Mallorca. Cyle Larin scored the only goal of the game in the 11th minute in the 1 - 0 win for Mallorca.
Lens and Sevilla have only met once, coming earlier in the Group stage. Lucas Ocampos opened the scoring for Sevilla in the ninth minute but Angelo Fulgini equalised for Lens before halftime. The two sides weren't separated by much, but the game ended 1 - 1.
