Newcastle is back in the Champions League for the first time in over 20 years and it has one of the toughest tasks on the continent with a trip to AC Milan for matchday one's early evening kick off.
The Magpies will get into the action at 17:45 for what is the first Champions League match of the season. They will also do this having had a topsy-turvy start to the latest Premier League season after a narrow 1-0 win at home to Brentford. Eddie Howe's men had to fight hard for their three points over the weekend, and it was a goal from Callum Wilson from the spot that sealed the deal.
Prior to this, Howe's side lost 3-1 away to Brighton and were also beaten at home by Liverpool in a stunning comeback win for the Reds. The other win for Newcastle this season saw them defeat Aston Villa in a stunning 5-1 win.
As for Milan, they head into this game having just lost their first Milan derby of the season to rivals Inter Milan, as they were smashed 5-1. Rafael Leao did get a goal for Milan that day, but they were outclassed from the first moment after conceding a goal inside the first 15 minutes.
This was, however, AC's first defeat of the season having won their three other games. This saw Christian Pulisci get off to a flying start at his new club with two goals and an assist, while Olivier Giroud has three goals already too. Wins so far for the 2021/22 champions of Italy has seen them beat Roma in a fantastic performance in the Italian capital, while they also defeated Bologna away from home and Torino 4-1 back at the San Siro.
Isak and Giroud to score, Tomori and Burn to be carded and each team 4+ corners is up at 200/1, while Bruno Guimaraes to commit 2+ fouls sits at 1/1 - Guimaraes has committed 12 fouls in his last five Premier League fixtures. Olivier Giroud to score a header is at 8/1 after scoring 61 career goals with his head. Anthony Gordon 2+ shots on target is also up at 5/1.
