RB Leipzig host Young Boys at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig this Wednesday in the last week of the Champions League Group stage. Leipzig have secured their qualification to the knockout rounds but Young Boys could need a result in order to fend off Red Star Belgrade for the spot in the Europa League.
RB Leipzig currently sit second in Group G. The German side have three wins and two losses, leaving them on nine points, six points behind Manchester City and five points ahead of Red Star Belgrade.

Xavi Simons opened the scoring in the sixth minute against Freiburg, but Merlin Rohl equalised in the sixth minute of added time in the first half. A penalty from Lois Openda and a goal from Christoph Baumgartner gave Leipzig the 3 - 1 win over Freiburg. However, Jonas Wind gave Wolfsburg the early lead next time out. Yussuf Poulsen equalised for Leipzig but Rogerio gave Wolfsburg the 2 - 1 win.
In the Champions League, Leipzig travelled to Manchester City. Openda gave Leipzig a 2 - 0 lead at halftime, but goals from Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez gave Man City the 3 - 2 win. Baumgartner and Poulsen scored to give Leipzig the 3 - 2 win, with Niclas Fullkrug scoring too late for a full comeback.
Young Boys sit just below RB Leipzig in third in Group G. In five games, Young Boys have one win, one draw and three losses which leaves them on four points, five points out of reach of Leipzig but only three points above Red Star Belgrade, who could tie them on points if Young Boys lose and Red Star win.
