Albania vs. Faroe Islands Prediction, Tips & Stats

Albania are looking to seal top spot in Group E of Euro 2024 qualifying as they face the Faroe Islands this week.

Albania currently sit top of Group E with four wins, two draws and one loss from seven games.

It's been an excellent qualifying campaign for an Albania side that have capitalised on a favourable draw without hesitation having sealed qualification with one game to spare.

The only task now is to seal top spot to try and confirm a pot two seeding and they'll be thankful they have one of the easier games that UEFA tournament qualifying can throw up in front of their own fans.

Albania are coming into this game in good form, unbeaten in their last five games having won three of their last four.

Their most recent game saw them held to a 1-1 draw away in Moldova having conceded an equaliser in the 87th minute, a slightly disappointing result but one that will likely be largely inconsequential.

On home soil Albania have been excellent as they enter this game having won all of their last five home games by a combined scoreline of 11-0.

All in all this should be a daily straightforward win for Albania as they look towards a first tournament since Euro 2016 and only a second major tournament in their history.

The Faroe Islands currently sit bottom of qualifying Group E with one draw and six losses from seven games.

It's been pretty much par for the course for the Faroe Islands who've been the whipping boys of the group as they enter the final game of the qualifying campaign attempting to claim their first win.

They're coming into this game typically out of form having lost all of their last eight matches with their last win coming over a year ago.

Away from home they've won only once since September 2020, away in Liechtenstein, so their chances here are very slim.

The last time these two sides met Albania ran out 3-1 winners and there is little to suggest that the result here will be any different this time around.

For our Albania vs. Faroe Islands prediction, we're going for a 3-0 win for the home side.

          Albania Team News

Sokol Cikalleshi's place in the starting lineup is under threat as Mirlind Daku looks to usurp him up top, but it's not likely we'll see to many changes to what is a settled Albanian XI.

          Faroe Islands Team News

Joannes Bjartalid and Rene Joensen are both pushing to come into the Faroe Islands' starting lineup but they aren't expecting to make too many changes following a decent showing against Norway in a friendly las time out.

Klaemint Olsen could also come back into the starting lineup.
