Armenia and Wales will clash in Group D this weekend with everything still to play for between Croatia, Turkey and these two with only the latter nation looking like qualifying with ease.
Quite incredibly, Wales are sitting in second place right now and above Croaia on the head-to-head record and ahead of Armenia by seven points. Simply put, they have two more games to play and must merely match or better the results of those two sides, and by beating Armenia here, they will have one foot at Euro 2024 for sure.
Wales recorded one of those wins over Croatia in their last match, as Harry Wilson starred with a sensational second half display. The former Liverpool man scored twice in the second half, as Mario Pasalic brought one back, but it was too little too late.
Wales also defeated Gibraltar in the last international break, as Kieffer Moore scored a goal in either half alongside first half finishes from Ben Davies and Nathan Broadhead.
As for Armenia, this game is a must-win, as a defeat would mean they are mathematically incapable of heading to Euro 2024 when combined with the head-to-head record. They have second points and only two wins so far and were even beaten by Latvia in their last outing in what will no doubt go down as one of the worst results in the country's history.
It should be a routine win for Wales based on recent displays, while it is hard to back Armenia with their current flock of injuries and after losing to Latvia away from home.
