Denmark are eyeing up top spot in the European Championship Group H Qualifiers this weekend with the club coming into this one in second place behind the leaders Slovenia with just one loss on the board for the Danes.
Denmark are heading into this one having only just moved into the top two of the group after defeating Finland 1-0 away from home where Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg scored late on in the game. Before this, Denmark also defeated San Marino where Hojbjerg scored once more before goals from Joakim Maehle, Jonas Wind and Christian Eriksen.
A draw with Slovenia would come in before this after also beating Northern Ireland 1-0 at home where Wind scored once more. The semi-finalists at the last Euros have, however, suffered a loss to Kazakhstan this qualifying campaign 3-2 where Rasmus Hojlund carried on his excellent goalscoring form with two goals in the first half.
A further win for the Danes also saw them defeat Finland 3-1 where Hojlund scored another hat-trick to secure the win. As for Kazakhstan, they are far from out of this at the qualification race. They have also managed to out together four wins from six matches and lose only twice as well, although the country has out together the same defensive record with just five goals let in.
They managed to beat Northern Ireland 1-0 last time out thanks to a goal from Maksim Samorodov to mark the second win in a row in which they have secured a 1-0 victory after also beating Northern Ireland again in Belfast before that. They did, however, lose to Finland 1-0 to move them out of the top two and down into fourth.
Further wins for the country this campaign have seen them already defeat Denmark 3-2 with goals from Bkhtiyar Zaynutdinov, Askhat Tagybergen and Abat Aimbetov - the latter was also sent off in the dying embers of the comeback win from 2-0 down.
