Two sides in need of a win meet in EURO 2024 qualifying this weekend as Greece host Gibraltar.
Greece currently sit 3rd in qualifying Group B with two wins and two losses from their first four games of the group.
The Greeks kicked off proceedings with a 3-0 win over this weekend's opponents before making it two from two with a 2-0 win over Republic of Ireland.
They then fell to consecutive defeats against France, 1-0, and most recently Netherlands, 3-0.
The defeat against Netherlands on Thursday night was a tough one as they were outclassed by the Dutch with first half goals from Marten de Roon, Cody Gakpo and Wout Weghorst seeing the Dutch 3-0 up after 39 minutes.
Direct qualification from this group was always a long shot given they had the misfortune of being drawn alongside two European powerhouses but they're still well placed to mount a push for a play-off spot if they can complete doubles against Gibraltar and Ireland - and maybe even take a result from one of their home games against France and Netherlands.
Greek football is still in a tough spot with the country currently having few players plying their trade at elite clubs in Europe, but they do look like they're improving in comparison to recent years and a qualification for this tournament would be a monumental achievement.
Gibraltar are the whipping boys of this group and this game, especially with home advantage, should not pose too many issues for The Greeks.
Gibraltar currently sit rock bottom of qualifying Group B with four defeats from four games so far.
Gibraltar have registered four consecutive 3-0 defeats at the hands of Greece, Netherlands, France and Ireland to begin proceedings in the group and it's highly likely things will continue in the same fashion.
They're coming into this game on a run of five consecutive defeats, without scoring a single goal, having also lost eight of their last ten.
These kinds of runs are par for the course for Gibraltar and are nothing new, as they essentially participate in qualifying to make up the numbers.
Regardless, they'll be desperate to at least give a good account of themselves against Greece here even if that only means scoring their first goal of the qualifying campaign.
Expect nothing other than a comfortable win for Greece in this one.
For our Greece vs. Gibraltar prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the home side.
