Ukraine and North Macedonia will meet in Group C of the Euro 2024 qualifiers with both sides having a game in hand to play over Malta, England and Italy ahead of this weekend's international fixtures.
Ukraine lost to England in their one and only game so far in Group C after a 2-0 defeat at Wembley where Bukayo Saka and Harry Kane scored a goal each in the first half. They also had just two shots on target throughout the game and barely ever threatened the Three Lions.
That game was Ukraine's only fixture in the March international break and they are coming into this one after playing out a thrilling game against Germany in a friendly.
A goal from Niclas Fullkrug sent them 1-0 down inside 90 minutes before taking a 3-1 lead after a brace from Viktor Tsyhankov and an own goal from Antonio Rudiger. However, two goals in the final 10 minutes of the game from Germany forced a 3-3 draw.
North Macedonia edged past the Faroe Islands in their last match back in March after a goal from Bojan Miovski in the final nine minutes of regular time. Elif Elmas and Darko Churlinov were the difference when the nation met with Malta a few days earlier to hand the club one win from one game in Group C.
