Northern Ireland are expected to pick up an easy three points this weekend when they play hosts to the lowest-ranked European side San Marino in Belfast where they are once again without a single goal this qualifying campaign.
As is always the case, San Marino have been losing every game so far and come into this match with them suffering a loss in all of their games at the Euro Qualifiers. The last time San Marino avoided a loss was in a 1-1 draw with Saint Lucia back in November of last year. San Marino are currently 207th in the FIFA World Rankings.
As for Northern Ireland, things haven't been much better for them with just one victory on the board from six games, losing the other five. Unsurprisingly, that win saw them defeat San Marino with a goal in either half from Dion Charles, and there's no doubt that manager Michael O'Neill would have been disappointed with them only scoring two goals.
The other losses this qualifying campaign have seen Northern Ireland lose to Kazakhstan twice, Slovenia and also Denmark and Finland. Ultimately, it's been another terrible campaign and one for which Nothern Ireland are unlikely to qualify out of. This will mean they have still only qualified for one tournament this century.
