San Marino vs. Kazakhstan Prediction, Tips & Stats

San Marino face Kazakhstan in Group H this weekend in a EURO 2024 qualifier.

San Marino currently sit bottom of Group H with two losses from their first two games of qualifying.

They began their campaign with a 0-2 loss to Northern Ireland before a successive 2-0 defeat to Slovenia in their most recent encounter.

They enter this game in typically abysmal form having failed to win any of their last sixty-eight matches, with their last win coming all the way back in July 2014.

Their most recent fixtures have seen them lose four of their last five matches, having also lost nine of their last ten games in home soil.

This is par for the course for San Marino in International tournament qualifying and that's unlikely to ever change.

Quite simply, they're here to make up the numbers and they will almost certainly fall to yet another defeat here.

Kazakhstan currently sit 3rd in Group H with one win and one loss from their first two matches of qualifying.

There campaign began with a tough 1-2 loss at home to Slovenia before rectifying that defeat with a shock, and exhilarating, 3-2 win over group favourites Denmark.

The Kazakhs were 0-2 down deep in the second half before stunning comeback that sae them score three times in the last seventeen minutes, the last of which was in the 89th minute, to secure what could be a vital three points.

They're still not expected to progress from the group, but they can hope to build on that excellent result as their form is still quite poor having lost four of their last five games.

Their form on their own turf is much more encouraging, however, with Kazakhstan having won four of their last five games on home soil.

These two sides have met just twice before, both times in 2019, with Kazakhstan winning both ties comfortably with a 4-0 win and a 3-1 win.

Kazakhstan should make it two wins in a row here without too much difficulty.

For our San Marino vs. Kazakhstan prediction, we're going for a 3-0 win for the away side.

            San Marino Team News

Unsurprisingly, San Marino have no players currently playing in a top league in Europe with most of their squad playing locally in the country's own domestic league, so few fans will be familiar with many names.

Filippo Fabbri, , Nicola Nanni and Dante Rossi, Marcello Mularoni and Filippo Berardi all compete in the Italian football pyramid at various levels.

Captain Matteo Vitaioli is looking to win his 84th cap for the country.

            Kazakhstan Team News

Nuraly Alip of Zenit Saint Petersburg and Bakhtiyar Zaynutdinov of CSKA Moscow are Kazakhstan's most high profile players and will both start here.

Zaynutdinov is the highest goalscorer in the entire squad with eleven goals to his name and he'll see this game as an ideal opportunity to add to his tally.
