Slovakia vs. Luxembourg Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Slovakia vs. Luxembourg prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the home side.

Slovakia face Luxembourg in Group J of the UEFA European Championships qualifying.

Slovakia are looking to qualify for just their 3rd ever tournament as an independent nation, a feat that would make it three consecutive EUROs appearances.

They enter this game fairly out of form having failed to win ay of their last five matches, drawing three and losing two.

Their World Cup qualifying campaign was pretty underwhelming having won three, drawn five and lost two of their ten games.

Their Nations League campaign was mightily disappointing, winning two, drawing one and losing three of their six games having lost twice to Kazakhstan.

Slovakia have been wholly unconvincing at home, too, having failed to win ay of their last five games on home soil.

Napoli's Stanislas Lobotka is one of Europe's best performing midfielders this season so Slovakia will be hoping he can translate his club form to his international duties.

Slovakia will likely fight it out with Iceland and Bosnia for 2nd place in this group. Not a bad draw in reality, but if they're to make the most of it they must take three points here.

Luxembourg enter this game in relatively poor form despite having gone unbeaten in their last five matches, but having won only one of those they're struggling somewhat.

They were handed an exceptionally difficult World Cup qualifying group consigning Portugal, Serbia and Sweden so they're weren't expected to get much but having won three, drawn one and lost six of their ten World Cup qualifiers they will want to erase the memory of that campaign sooner rather than later.

Their Nations League campaign was much more successful, in fairness, having won four, drawn one and lost one of their last six matches.

Luxembourg have lost four of the last five head-to-head meetings between the two sides and given the current position of both clubs it feels like they're set for another one here.
