Slovenia vs. Kazakhstan Prediction, Tips & Stats

We have a winner-takes-all clash in Euro 2024 qualifying as Kazakhstan are looking to qualify for their first-ever tournament as an independent nation as they face Slovenia this week.

Slovenia currently sit 2nd in Group H with six wins, one draw and two losses from nine games.

It's been an impressive qualifying campaign from Slovenia as they find themselves within one game of sealing a first major tournament appearance since the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

They're entering this game in good form on the whole having won four of their last five games, the most recent of which was a 2-1 loss in Denmark.

The defeat to Denmark was a fairly gutting one for Slovenia given a win would have sealed their spot in Germany next summer but they have the chance to do exactly that in front of their own fans here.

Their form at home has been very good of late as they come into this one unbeaten in their last seven at home having won four of their last five.

This is a tough game for Slovenia but one in which they should come out on top.

Kazakhstan currently sit 3rd in Group H with six wins and three losses from nine games.

The Kazakhs have the chance to do something truly special here and seal not only a first major tournament appearance for the nation but also an extremely unlikely one.

They're coming into this one in decent form having won three of their last four games, the most recent of which was a 3-1 win over San Marino.

Similarly, they've also won three of their last four games away from home including a big 2-1 win in Finland so there's cause for optimism here.

Kazakhstan were beaten 1-2 by Slovenia when the two sides met in the first game of qualifying so their chances here might not be huge but over one game far stranger things have happened.

For our Slovenia vs. Kazakhstan prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for Slovenia.
