Switzerland are looking to strengthen their position at the top of the group as they face Romania in EURO 2024 qualifying on Monday.
Switzerland currently sit top of qualifying Group I with three wins from their opening three fixtures of the campaign.
The Swiss kicked things off with a thumping 5-0 win away in Belarus before cruising to a 3-0 win over Israel followed by a 2-1 win over Andorra.
It's been plain sailing for Switzerland in this group so far and they've quite clearly demonstrated they're a cut above the rest of the sides in this pool.
They're as good as certain to seal their place in Germany next summer and they enter this game in good form having won four of their last five encounters.
Their form at home is very strong too, with the Swiss having won each of their last three consecutive matches on home soil.
Switzerland are excellent at maximising the talent at their disposal and after emerging from a tricky group at the World Cup in Qatar the generation consisting of Granit Xhaka and co look as though they could be peaking as they enter what will be their last tournament at their pomp.
A win here against 2nd place Romania would pretty much assure qualification after just four games played and there's little reason to believe they won't get it.
Romania currently sit 2nd in qualifying Group I with two wins and one draw from three games so far this campaign.
Romania began their campaign with a 2-0 win in Andorra before registering a 2-1 win over Belarus followed by a 0-0 draw against Kosovo last time out.
Despite having a fairly favourable start to the group, Romania have started well and find themselves well positioned to push hard for 2nd place behind this week's opponents.
Their form overall is promising coming into this game having won three and drawn one of their last four matches.
Similarly, their form away from home has been pretty encouraging having won two and drawn two of their last four games on the road.
These two sides haven't met since 2016, when the scores finished 1-1, so it's a pretty novel matchup with neither side having a meaningful head-to-heads advantage.
Romania have a great chance of sealing automatic qualification to Germany next summer and if they can grab a result here it would do wonders for their chances of qualification.
For our Switzerland vs. Romania prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the home side.
