England are the outright favourites to win Euro 2024 following the plethora of talent that Gareth Southgate’s squad has such as Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden, Harry Kane and more; as well as the fact that the Three Lions narrowly finished as runners-up to Italy in the final of Euro 2020.

Kane managed to win the 2018 World Cup Golden Boot in Russia as he scored six goals - can he become the first English player since Alan Shearer at Euro 96 to earn this accolade at the European Championships?

As previously mentioned, Foden and Bellingham managed a combined 50 goals at club level for Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Bellingham scored in England’s 6-2 opening game win over Iran at Qatar 2022, while Foden scored in England’s 3-0 win over Wales at that tournament. Can both of these players go one better and score two goals each at Euro 2024?

Kane will be aiming to win his second Golden Boot at a major international competition this summer. The 30-year-old has won six Golden Boot awards during his career, having won the Premier League’s edition of this four times, while also earning the Champions League’s and Bundesliga’s Golden Boots ruing 2023/24.

England will fancy their chances of being the top scorers at Euro 2024, especially if they can make it deep into the competition.

The Three Lions have the likes of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden among their ranks who managed to score a combined total of 90 league goals between them during the 2023/24 season.

Scotland managed to score just one goal at the finals of Euro 2020, could they endure another miserable European Championship in front of goal when they meet Germany, Switzerland an d Hungary in Group A?

Could Kane outscore England’s old foes Germany?

Germany scored six goals at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar when they were knocked out in the Group Stages, while Die Mannschaft also fired in six times at Euro 2020 by the time the Three Lions knocked them out at the Round of 16 stage of that competition.

England are the outright favourites to win Euro 2024 due to the plethora of talent that Gareth Southgate’s side possess, on top of the fact that the Three Lions players have arguably developed and grown since their narrow final defeat at Euro 2020.

Harry Kane won the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and enters this competition off the back of tremendous club form that saw him score 44 goals in 45 matches for Bayern Munich.

Jude Bellingham is touted as one of the favourites to win the Ballon d’Or having played a large part in Real Madrid’s recent La Liga and Champions League successes. The ex-Borussia Dortmund man enters Euro 2024 with 36 goal contributions across all competitions in his debut campaign with Real.

England are the outright bookmakers favourites to win Euro 2024 and will be expected to brush aside the likes of Serbia, Slovenia and Denmark in Group C.

France have made three of the last four major international finals having finished as runners-up at Euro 2016 and the 2022 World Cup, while winning the 2018 World Cup. They will face Poland, the Netherlands and Austria in Group D.

Germany are strong favourites to progress past Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland in Group A, especially when considering the array of talent that Julian Nagelsmann will have at his disposal.

Spain will be aiming to go deep into this competition, especially when considering their 2022/23 Nations League win under current coach Luis de la Fuentes. La Roja face a tricky B with Croatia, Italy and Albania.

As previously mentioned, Kane is expected to strongly compete with the likes of Kylian Mbappe for the Golden Boot, especially when considering that the 30-year-old won the Bundesliga and Champions League Golden Boot last time out.

Antoine Griezmann had an incredible 2022 World Cup in Qatar, as the Atletico Madrid man often featured in central midfield and provided the most assists at the tournament. The 33-year-old was named as Player of the Tournament at Euro 2016.
