England's Top Scorer Odds

Gareth Southgate will have one of the best-assembled attacking options of any nation at the European Championships this summer. England are the pre-tournament favourites at 3/1, with many of their attacking players highly tipped to produce goals for England this summer.

Here we look at the five England players we think could be the top scorer for the national side this summer.

The most obvious candidate to provide the goals for Gareth Southgate this summer is Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane. Kane who captains the national side, is slated @11/2 to be England’s outright top scorer this summer. Kane has enjoyed a wonderful debut season individually, despite Bayern Munich failing to win a trophy this season.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has 56 goal contributions for his club this season, across the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League. Kane was the Golden Boot winner for the World Cup in 2018 and scored two goals at the previous World Cup as England reached the quarterfinals. At the previous European Championships, Kane scored four goals as England reached the final.

Jude Bellingham is highly tipped to be one of the star performers at the European Championships this summer and judging by his performances this season, it’s easy to see why. Bellingham is tipped at 16/1 to win the Golden Boot this summer.

Following his arrival from Borussia Dortmund last summer, Jude Bellingham has been wonderful for his new club Real Madrid in his debut season. Bellingham has 34 goal contributions across 39 games in the league and the UEFA Champions League. Bellingham achieved a remarkable season in the club aspect having won both the league and UEFA Champions League in his debut season.

Bellingham made his tournament debut in the last European Championship and featured more prominently at the following World Cup having contributed a goal and an assist in five games.

Manchester City’s Phil Foden has achieved his best season from an individual standpoint for his club. The Stockport-born midfielder was an integral part of Manchester City achieving history by becoming the first club to win four Premier League titles in a row.

Foden’s success brought him the Premier League Player of the Year award and will undoubtedly be one of the star names featured in the England eleven when the opening game against Serbia.

The Manchester City midfielder played 35 Premier League games this season and had contributed 27 goal contributions. Foden had three goal contributions in four appearances at the previous World Cup.

Aston Villa have enjoyed a wonderful season, having earned themselves qualification to next season’s UEFA Champions League. A huge contribution to their success was the performances of Ollie Watkins.

Watkins chose the perfect season to produce his individual best as the former Brentford player scored 19 goals in the league – all of which were non-penalty goals. Watkins contributed 32 goal contributions in general in the Premier League and only Cole Palmer contributed more. Watkins will be making his first international tournament appearance, should Gareth Southgate choose to play the Aston Villa striker in Germany.

The outside chance to be England’s top scorer at the European Championship is Chelsea’s Cole Palmer. The former Manchester City academy graduate followed in the footsteps of his former teammate Phil Foden in having a wonderful individual season at club level.

Palmer won the Young Player of the Year in the Premier League following a campaign in which he finished as the highest-scoring English player in the Premier League. Palmer contributed 33 goal contributions for his new club this season and has played his way into the England squad.
