Everton v Brighton: Toffees to win and BTTS

A confident Everton side host Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion this Saturday as the Toffees are looking to win their first four league matches for the first time in Premier League history.

The feel-good factor continued for Carlo Ancelotti’s Blues after taking all three points at Selhurst Park with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison both on target, with the former netting another hat-trick to take his tally to eight in four.

Brighton, on the other hand, were incredibly unlucky at the Amex Stadium last week against Manchester United, remarkably losing after the final whistle with Bruno Fernandes’ 100th-minute penalty putting them to the sword. Despite taking just three points from their first three matches, the Seagulls have been very impressive and will cause Everton some problems this weekend.

Since their promotion in 2017, they have lost on all three visits to Goodison Park and thanks to Everton’s brilliant start, they are unsurprisingly the favourites. Both sides have seen BTTS in two of their three league games, and combined, they have scored 28 goals across all competitions already this season.

Everton to win and both teams to score is priced at 5/2 with Sky Bet - click here to claim this bet.

Leeds vs Man City: Leeds to score 2+

The first of the big boys to travel to Elland Road after a 16-year hiatus will be Manchester City, as Pep Guardiola looks for a response from his team following last week’s 5-2 hammering by Leicester City.

Marcelo Bielsa and Guardiola’s philosophy of open, expansive football means we could be treated to a real spectacle here. We already know about City’s potent attack, but Leeds too, have shown they can score goals at this level, with eight already in three games, including three against last season’s sternest back-line, Liverpool. We should expect a similar game plan to what we saw at Anfield from the Yorkshire outfit.

Only four sides have conceded more than City this season and they have played a game less. They will hope the signing of Ruben Dias will help a fragile defence, but whether or not he’ll be thrown straight into the starting eleven, is not yet known.

Leeds to score 2 or more here is priced at 5/2 with Sky Bet - click here to claim this one.

Southampton vs West Brom: BTTS + over 2.5 goals

Two sides who got their first points of the season last time out, meet at St. Mary’s as Southampton host West Bromwich Albion. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men edged a cagey encounter at Turf Moor while West Brom blew a three-goal lead to draw with Chelsea last weekend.

Despite playing five at the back and two holding midfielders, the Baggies have witnessed an extraordinary number of goals in their matches so far, notching 16 in three games. They have had difficulty keeping goals out of their own net, but attacking trio Grady Diangana, Matheus Pereira and Callum Robinson have all shown a good eye in front of goal.

After a superb campaign last time around, Southampton’s Danny Ings has continued his hot streak in front of goal, with three already, scoring 100% of Southampton’s league goals. Like West Brom, the south coast outfit have been culpable at the back though, especially after shipping five at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

19 of the 28 Premier League games so far have seen over 2.5 goals, including all three of West Brom’s matches, back this and both teams to score at 11/10 - click here to claim this in your bet slip.

Newcastle vs Burnley: Newcastle to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1

Saturday night’s action comes in the form of Newcastle United and Burnley, who meet at St. James’ Park. Newcastle salvaged a point last time out with a very controversial 97th-minute penalty away to Tottenham Hotspur, while Burnley remain pointless after losing their opening home fixture to Southampton.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the nature of the two side’s style of play, this fixture has notoriously seen very few goals in the past few years. Since Newcastle’s promotion in 2017, only two out of the six meetings between them have seen both teams score and in five of those games, under 2.5 goals have been scored.

Both Steve Bruce and Sean Dyche have a reputation for building solid teams, so we should expect a close encounter. With Newcastle in better form, we’re tipping them to edge a tight affair in this one, Newcastle to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 is priced at 9/4 - click here to claim this one in your weekend acca.

Aston Villa vs Liverpool: Liverpool (-2)

Aston Villa and Liverpool both put their 100% records on the line at Villa Park this Sunday as the champions look to mount another title charge after winning their first Premier League trophy last season.

Dean Smith’s Villa have made a very strong start, winning both their games to nil so far against Sheffield United and Fulham, but their next challenge will undoubtedly be much tougher, in the form of Liverpool. Only Norwich City conceded more than Villa’s 67 last season, as the side from the Villains narrowly avoided the drop.

Liverpool have begun this campaign where they left off in the last one, winning all their games so far this season, scoring 16 goals in the process and their main men, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, are in-form once more with three league goals each.

Liverpool beat Villa home and away last season and it’s difficult to see past them repeating the feat, while also continuing their rich goal-scoring form. The Reds -2 is available at odds of 2/1.
