Best Bets of the Weekend - Week One

The weekend is over and what a few days it was. The Premier Leagues concluded for the first international break of the campaign and we saw some great games which provided plenty of entertainment. Tottenham's defeat to Watford (2-1) was the shock result of the weekend in the top flight, with the Hornets stunning the North Londoners to record a first ever Premier League victory over them. Unai Emery's Arsenal also made big steps, picking up their first away win of the campaign and just a second in 2018 with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Cardiff in South Wales.

There's only one place to begin with the winners this weekend and it comes at Bramall Lane. Sheffield United and Aston Villa faced off there on Saturday in what had the potential to be the game of the day in the Championship and for one lucky Blade it will be something he remembers for the rest of his life.

Sunday's usually a quiet day when it comes to domestic football in England, but yesterday we had 5 games to go at across the Premier League and Championship.
