Sunday sees Serie A league leaders Inter Milan take on 18th in the table Cagliari, with the hosts boasting an 11-point gap over second-placed AC Milan.
Three of Inter’s last five wins in the league have had both teams score in them, in 2-1 victories over Parma, Torino and most recently Sassuolo where goals from Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez settled the outcome of the match.
Cagliari have only won five of their 29 matches in the league this season, with their most recent being against Bologna on 3rd March where a Daniele Rugani header won all three points for the Isolani.
The last time these two sides met in December, Inter came out as 3-1 winners at the Sardegna Arena thanks to three goals in the last 13 minutes of the match from Nicolo Barella, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Lukaku, having fallen behind to a Riccardo Sottil strike in the 41st minute, showing that Cagliari have what it takes to score against this weekend’s opponents.
