Harry Kane is 5/4 to be England's Top Scorer at Euro 2020

Harry Kane has spent large chunks of his career chasing down and eventually breaking goalscoring records. In fact, the England captain is perhaps just two seasons away from breaking Jimmy Greaves' all-time record as Tottenham Hotspur's top scorer, whilst he remains just 21 goals behind Wayne Rooney for England's top marksman status, with 32 goals from 51 caps.

On top of this, Kane is the most recent winner of the World Cup Golden Boot, having scored six goals in six games back in Russia at the 2018 finals. Kane was two goals ahead of the next in the running at the World Cup, and as he has been the top English goalscorer in the world of football in all competitions for the past seven years, he is now the favourite to be England's top goalscorer at Euro 2020.

At a price of 5/4, Kane is odds on to do so, and in truth, we don't really see what stops him. In fact, as England's very best around and the penalty taker in this VAR world, the Spurs star could well be the only man who racks up more than a few goals at a tournament where there are just six games.

England will play Croatia, Scotland and Czech Republic all at Wembley Stadium in the summer, and each of these games could see a few goals from the Three Lions. If England are to let loose and bag plenty, you'd expect Kane to be right in the mix.

After the clear favourite in Kane, there is a huge jump to the second in line, Raheem Sterling. The Manchester City forward has been one of Europe's top scorers in the last few seasons, and in terms of goals coming from the left wing, Sterling has outscored almost everyone in world football.

However, after 55 Premier League goals in his past three seasons, the England man has struggled much more to uphold these standards this time around with just nine in 25 games so far. This hasn't been too much of a worry for Sterling on a personal note, given how he is still starting each game for a City side that could well just win everything with their defensive brilliance.

On the other hand, however, it might be a concern for Gareth Southgate, who is spoilt for choice with his winger options, most notably, Jack Grealish. Grealish has been the number one man and then some for Aston Villa in the past few seasons, and with a move to left win this campaign, the Villa captain has six league goals and 12 assists in just 22 games - this is already a better record than last season.

Sterling is still expected to start, though, but given Grealish's creative flair and Marcus Rashford's better goals record in 2020/21, the City star's position is under threat and he might not see 90 minutes in each game.

With all this considered, plus Kane's free-scoring nature, the winger is priced at 11/2 to be England's top scorer at Euro 2020.

As alluded to, Rashford has been pulling up trees at times for United this season. If you were to judge the winger's form from the entire season, however, it's slightly hit and miss. In fact, Rashford has gone missing for many games this campaign for the Red Devils, but has turned up with a goal or an assist here and there to overall put in a good shift for his club.

The England man has still turned over 18 goals and 12 assists in 45 games, however, much of these have come in braces and one hat-trick within the Champions League, so in truth, it's been a topsy-turvy season for a man expected to get a bare minimum of 25 for the season. Rashford is still outscoring everyone at United expect Bruno Fernandes, however, and as a result, he is priced at 6/1 to be England's top scorer at Euro 2020.

Jadon Sancho is another name towards the top of the list, although, goalscoring has never been his forte, with an emphasis on creativity down the right channel. In fact, once again, Sancho is challenging towards the top end of the assists charts in Germany, registering nine in the Bundesliga, with only Jonas Hofmann and Bayern Munich's stars ahead of him. On the other hand, Sancho has only racked up six league goals and just three in 18 caps for England.

Other notable names on the list are the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin at 10/1, Grealish at 16/1 and Phil Foden at 16/1. However, all three are not guaranteed starters, with the lowest of the three, Calvert-Lewin, not expected to start a single game with Kane in the team.
