Benfica have won just two of their last five matches, although they managed solid 1-1 draws against PSG, home and away. In Liga NOS, Benfica have beaten the likes of Rio Ave 4-2 and Maritimo 5-0, but, they did labour to a 0-0 draw away at Vitoria Guimaraes.

Mainz and FC Koln go up against one another on Friday night in a battle of 11th and seventh in the German Bundesliga.

The home side enters this match off the back of 3-0 and 2-0 victories over Lubeck and Werder Bremen. However, prior to this Mainz had drawn 1-1 with RB Leipzig and Hertha Berlin on either side of a 2-1 away loss at Freiburg.

Koln have also won just two of their last five matches, with both wins being by 3-2 scorelines over Augsburg and Borussia Dortmund. In between these victories, Koln had been beaten 1-0 and 2-0 by Partizan Belgrade, as well as 5-2 away at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Second and ninth face off in League One, as Ipswich Town hosts Derby County at Portman Road on Friday.

The Tractor Boys have lost both of their last two matches 1-0 to the likes of Cambridge United and Lincoln City. Prior to this though, Kieran McKenna’s men had beaten Morecambe 2-1, Cambridge United 3-0 and Portsmouth 3-2.

Derby were hammered 3-1 by Manchester City’s Under 21s last time out in the EFL Trophy. Before this, they had beaten Accrington 3-0, lost 2-1 to Port Vale, as well as drawing 1-1 with Mansfield Town and losing 2-0 to Cambridge United.

18th place Ajaccio face the unenviable task of hosting league leaders PSG on Friday night.
