Premier League Fantasy League Top Two

Mohamed Salah - £13m

Unsurprisingly Mohamed Salah tops the most valuable list going into the 18/19 season. He scored a massive 303 points last term and if you didn't have him in your team the chances are you weren't near the top of your league. The Egyptian topped the goalscoring charts with 32 goals and added an extra 12 assists to go along with it. At £13m he'll take a massive chunk of your budget and it could be a gamble.

He suffered an injury in Champions League final which ruled him out of most of Egypt's World Cup campaign. This will mean, unlike a lot of players, he'll be well rested and come back strong this season. With plenty of time to get over his shoulder injury he should be back to his best. Is he just a one season wonder? who knows, but with Jurgen Klopp's attacking style of play he'll get chances to score this season.

Harry Kane - £12.5m

Harry Kane, the one season wonder, has now scored 20+ Premier League goals in four consecutive seasons. He is now regarded as one of, if not the, best striker in the world. He comes back to England after a long campaign with the national teaming, finishing fourth in the World Cup and claiming the golden boot along the way. Scoring 217 points last season he finished third on points overall.

After such a long campaign in Russia he may be rested for the first few games for Tottenham. The striker, despite still managing to score a huge number of goals each season, has never managed to score in the month of August. Do you gamble that he finally breaks that curse and put him in from the start? or have a plan to get him in during the season when he finally gets going but he'll be a must have come the end of the season.

The Strikers

Romelu Lukaku - £11m

Romelu Lukaku was Manchester United's marquee signing last summer, moving from Everton for £75m. With that sort of price comes a lot of pressure and we have seen Paul Pogba struggle because of that. However, Lukaku is a very confident young man and has all the attributes to be the best striker in the world. He's strong and powerful, quick and has an eye for goal. He scored just the 16 goals last season and will be hoping to build on that this time around.

Under Jose Mourinho, Manchester United have developed a defensive style. This has had an impact on the amount of chances created for the big Belgian. However, his first touch is still an issues for him and can make him irrelevant at times. However, he continues to improve and we saw some great play from him in Russia, scoring 4 goals. If United play an more expansive style this season Lukaku should rake in the goals and the points for fantasy.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - £11m

A striker that only joined the Premier League in January, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to have a great season. In his short spell in the league last season he scored 10 goals and got 4 assists. He's adapted to the Premier League very quickly and is only going to get better. His pace is electric but he has a knack of getting himself in the right position in the box, something Arsenal have been lacking in recent years.

We're tipping Aubameyang to do well this season, £11m is a big price but he'll be the main goalscorer for Arsenal and under Emery will score a lot of goals. He's been at the top of the scoring charts wherever he's played, Kane and Salah will do well to keep up with his pace.

Sergio Agüero - £11m

Since moving from Atletico Madrid in 2011 Sergio Aguero has not looked back. He's scored 20+ in 5 of his 7 seasons in England and thats with a number of injuries. Injuries have kept him out of a number of games over the years. He has averaged 176 points in fantasy league and will likely get a similar score this year. He's a safe bet for points and will likely be pick by a lot of players.

Under Pep Guardiola Aguero has seen less game time. The signing of Gabriel Jesus has meant the two strikers have been rotated. Aguero now gets less and less time on the pitch but is still a good player to get points. To use £11m on him is a tough decision. City only play one player up front and with Jesus valued £10.5m it's a hard choice who to pick. One thing that we know for sure is that City will score goals and lots of them.

Aguero Man City

Raheem Sterling - £11m

What a season 17/18 was for Raheem Sterling. Under Pep Guardiola he has been playing some great football. The style of play suits him down to a tee and he is given a lot of freedom in the side. He scored 18 goals and got 17 assists for the team. The winger has never got anywhere near these numbers and it seems he is starting to fulfil his potential. Finishing second in the points tally last season with 229 has seen his price skyrocket up to £11m.

At the age of 23 he's still got lots of room for improvement. Sterling played every game for England in Russia and didn't managed to get the same sort of return. Man City is a different beast to playing for England. At £11m it's a big risk and not many players are likely to pick him with better options out their. However, if he replicates the same sort of numbers as he did last season he'll be worth it.
