The three-year-old will have Ryan Moore aboard, and she looked back to her very best last time when landing the Group One Irish 1,000 Guineas, building on the promise she showed as a juvenile last term. Expected to confirm that form.
Next up is the Sandringham Stakes, and plenty have interesting claims. However, Crownright looks like a horse that is still ahead of the handicapper.
The Ralph Beckett runner has run credibly on back-to-back starts this year, including when running well for a long way at Leicester last time. Wasn’t disgraced at Ascot over course and distance at the start of the season, and is more than capable of making a mark today.
An interesting renewal of the Group Two King Edward VII Stakes is due off at 17:35. Ancient Egypt was well-backed in the Derby earlier this month, but disappointed on ground that likely didn’t suit.
He looked very impressive earlier in the season and should be capable of getting back on track based on his winning effort at Newmarket when beating My Love Is King in May.
The finale at Royal Ascot on Friday is a trappy contest. However, Sovereign Spell could be interesting at a bigger price.
The three-year-old won on back-to-back starts at the start of the season, before he was well beaten last time at Newmarket. A wide draw isn’t ideal, but he is a dangerous player on these terms if back in form.
