ITV Racing Tips – Sunday 26th April 2026 Best Bets for Musselburgh & Nottingham

The ITV Racing roadshow continues on Sunday, 26th April, as the opening Sunday Series of the 2026 flat season is staged at Musselburgh.

We have gone through all televised races on Sunday, picking out ITV horse racing tips, and an accumulator for ITV racing.

15:45 - Musselburgh - Dwindling Funds

Sunday’s action on ITV kicks off with a competitive handicap over a mile. Dwindling Funds looks like a standout chance for the Jim Goldie yard after making an encouraging return to action over a mile and one furlong at Musselburgh earlier this month.

Was only beaten two lengths on that day, and the drop back to a mile is a clear plus after twice winning over the distance last season.

15:55 - Nottingham - Faithful Dream

Next up is a handicap over six furlongs. Faithful Dream could be a standout selection for the in-form Michael Appleby yard.

The three-year-old has been kept busy on the all-weather during the winter, before finishing third last time out on his return to the turf. His finishing effort over five furlongs suggests that the step back up to six furlongs should suit.

16:15 - Musselburgh - Super Alpha

The juveniles will be in action over five furlongs in the Restricted Maiden Stakes at Musselburgh. Super Alpha was hindered in-running on his racecourse debut, but still battled back to finish third over course and distance.

With that experience under his belt, he could improve, and the booking of Jason Hart is a positive.

16:25 - Nottingham - Smart Vision

Nottingham’s next race will be a handicap over five furlongs. Jessica Macey-trained Smart Vision ran a disappointing race on his return at Beverley earlier this month, but that run could have built fitness.

Excelled over this trip at the end of last season, winning on back-to-back starts at Leicester and Doncaster.

16:45 - Musselburgh - Glorious Kitty

The fillies will be in action over a mile and a furlong in the next race at Musselburgh. Glorious Kitty Kitty ran a big race in defeat on her return earlier this month when only narrowly denied by Wondrous Light at Beverley.

She looks set for an exciting campaign this year over this trip, and should make amends for her return defeat on her second start this season.

16:55 - Nottingham - See The Fire

The Listed Nottinghamshire Oaks Stakes sees the return of See The Fire for trainer Andrew Balding. The five-year-old is rated considerably higher than her rivals this weekend, and should be incredibly hard to beat on her return.

Was a dominant winner of the Group Two Middleton Fillies’ Stakes last season, and ran credibly in defeat in top races at the end of the season when second in the Group One Prix de l’Opera and ninth in the Group One Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf. No rival in this field can match that level of form.

17:15 - Musselburgh - Hamlet’s Night

A mammoth mile and four furlongs will be covered in the next handicap from Musselburgh. James Owen-trained Hamlet’s Night is an interesting contender back on the flat after previously finishing fifth over two miles over hurdles.

Was a winner on his last start on the flat, beating Solarize by just under a length on the all-weather at Kempton. Will be suited by this stamina test, and should give a solid account.

17:25 - Nottingham - Spirit Of Jura

Spirit Of Jura should be suited by a significant step up in trip in the handicap over a mile and six furlongs at Nottingham on Sunday.

The four-year-old filly for trainer Charlie Johnston will get weight from the majority of her rivals, and she should strip fitter after two comeback efforts on the all-weather.

Appeared to be suited to this step up in trip when beaten a head over a mile and four at Southwell last August.

17:45 - Musselburgh - Abduction

Previous course and distance winner Abduction looks to hold solid claims in the seven-furlong handicap at Musselburgh on Sunday.

The Jim Goldie yard is in reliable form, and the eight-year-old has already made a winning start to the new season after winning over seven furlongs at the Scottish track last time out.

Thrives over this trip, and should be capable of going in again based on his recent win.

18:15 - Musselburgh - Senor Cortez

The penultimate race on the card this Sunday is a handicap over two miles. Senor Cortez represents the in-form John Butler yard, and the five-year-old should strip fitter after finishing third on stable debut at Lingfield last month.

Finished two lengths behind St Faz on that occasion, giving the re-opposing runner 6lb, but the rivals run on level terms this week.

18:45 - Musselburgh - Jer Batt

Sunday’s finale is a handicap over five furlongs. Jer Batt was only seventh on his return to action over course and distance, but was only three lengths behind Pilgrim despite being hindered at the start.

Should be primed to go a few places better this weekend on his second start after wind surgery. Has winning form over five furlongs at the track.
