On Tuesday night, Bayern Munich hosts Villarreal in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, with the 2020 winners trailing the La Liga outfit 1-0 after the first leg.

A player that will be keen to put the score right is Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who is priced at 15/8 to have three shots on target in this encounter, having managed this feat in 10 of his last 17 matches for the German champions.

Lewandowski is currently the top scorer in the Champions League having fired in 12 goals in nine outings, averaging 1.37 goals per 90 minutes. This is on top of his Bundesliga record of 32 goals in 29 appearances this campaign.

Bayern’s defensive record this season has been slightly suspect under Julain Naglesmann, having conceded 29 goals in 29 Bundesliga matches, as well as one goal in their 7-1 annihilation of Red Bull Salzburg in the last round of this competition.

The German champions come into the second leg as firm favourites on their home territory and will be hoping to put the Spaniards to the sword having underwhelmed in the first leg.

With the likes of Lewandowski on their side, Bayern will be looking to outscore their opponents. In the first leg, Villarreal had three corners whilst Bayern managed six. Despite there only being one booking in the match which came for Villarreal, there could well be more in the second leg with it being a one-off match of high intensity.

Real Madrid and Chelsea go head to head on Tuesday night in a fascinating second-leg at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Carlo Ancelotti’s men being 3-1 up from the return match at Stamford Bridge.

In their 3-1 victory, Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick to take his Champions League goal tally up to 11 in eight matches. The France international has managed 23 shots on target in his last eight starts.

Meanwhile, Kai Havertz has scored 13 goals so far this campaign and has been playing in a more advanced role in recent weeks. The German has managed a shot on target in each of his last eight appearances and even scored in his side’s defeat to Los Blancos last week.

Real ran out as 3-1 victors at Stamford Bridge thanks to an inspired hat-trick from Benzema, who managed to take his overall tally up to 35 goals in 35 appearances this season, on top of the 12 assists he has created.

Before their 6-0 win over Southampton at the weekend, Chelsea had shown some vulnerabilities in defence, having also shipped four goals in a shock 4-1 home defeat to Brentford. Real will be looking to utilise their home advantage to see off Thomas Tuchel’s men here.
