On Tuesday night, Bayern Munich hosts Red Bull Salzburg at the Allianz Arena in the Round of 16 in the Champions League.

This will be the fourth time that these two sides have faced off against one another in the Champions League in the past two seasons.

The first leg resulted in a 1-1 draw as Kingsley Coman scored a 90th-minute equaliser for Julian Nagelsmann’s side after Chukwubuike Adamu had given the Austrian Bundesliga side the lead in the 21st-minute.

Last season, Bayern managed to win both of their meetings with Salzburg in Group A of the Champions League, 3-1 at the Allianz Arena as Robert Lewandowski, Coman and Leroy Sane all scored, off the back of a 6-2 demolition of Salzburg in Austria prior to their home win.

The last time Bayern faced Salzburg in Germany, they won the match 3-1 against the champions of Austria, with prolific Polish striker Lewandowski scoring the opening goal of the match.

Lewandowski, as expected has been in sensational form once again this campaign, as the former Borussia Dortmund man has found the back of the net 37 times and created three assists in 32 matches across all competitions this campaign, averaging a goal every 75 minutes.

The 33-year-old Warsaw-born striker has scored nine and created two assists in seven Champions League match this season.

The other Champions League Round of 16 tie on Tuesday sees Liverpool go head to head with Inter Milan with Jurgen Klopp’s side currently having a 2-0 lead heading into this encounter at Anfield.

A player that has impressed since joining the Reds in January is Luis Diaz, as the 25-year-old Colombian has fit into Jurgen Klopp’s sides front three in no time and doesn’t look out of place.

In Diaz’s four Premier League games for the Anfield club since his £37.5m move from FC Porto, he has averaged 4.3 shots per game and across his eight games across all competitions has averaged a shot accuracy of 53%, meaning that there is a fairly good possibility of him having two shots on target against the Italian champions.

Coming into this match, both Sadio Mane and Lautaro Martinez will be looking to get on the scoresheet.

Former Southampton man, Mane, has managed 14 goals in 33 appearances for Liverpool this campaign, whilst Martinez comes into this match fresh off scoring a hat-trick last Friday against Salernitana, taking his tally up to 14 for the season in 32 games.

Both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Milan Skriniar are both involved in this Request A Bet to be carded, of which both have a chance to happen with Inter’s need to score goals, with Ivan Perisic running at the England right-back, whilst Skriniar will likely have to deal with Mane, Mohamed Salah and Diaz as they all interchange positions.

In terms of corners, in the first leg of this tie, there were 14 corners in the match, with this statistic being evenly split, as Inter and Liverpool both had seven each across the 90 minutes.
