Bournemouth to win
Despite both teams being out of sorts in regard to their overall form, we are backing Bournemouth in this fixture. The Cherries produced a brilliant display at Anfield, and in this fixture, the home side has won three of the last five meetings between the two teams. Wolves are without a win in their last nine matches and have suffered five straight defeats, as well as conceding first in each of their previous six matches.
Arsenal to win
Mikel Arteta's home record as Arsenal manager has been impeccable over the last two seasons, with his Arsenal side only losing four matches across two campaigns. Leeds United tend to struggle in their fixtures against Arsenal, as the Gunners have won the last six meetings between the two sides and have remained unbeaten in the last 13 meetings. In fact, due to Leeds United spending 16 years outside the Premier League, the last victory the Peacocks recorded against Arsenal was in a 2-3 victory at Highbury thanks to a late goal from Mark Viduka.
West Brom to win
West Bromwich Albion have made a perfect league start under the new management of Ryan Mason this season. The Baggies have won their opening two matches, with victories against Wrexham (2-3) and Blackburn Rovers (1-0) on the opening day. Portsmouth have an unwanted record against the home side, with no losses in their last four meetings between the two sides.
Wrexham to win
Wrexham will fancy their chances against Sheffield Wednesday, despite the home side having lost their opening two matches against Southampton & West Bromwich Albion. Last season, Wrexham had the second-best home record in League One, with only two losses and 16 wins from 23 home games. Sheffield Wednesday's defensive record is very poor, as the Owls have not kept a clean sheet in 14 matches.
Birmingham to win
Birmingham City have made a solid start to their season, as they are unbeaten so far this campaign across all competitions. The Blues are still unbeaten in league competition on home soil, having maintained an unbeaten record from last season. Oxford United are without a win away from home in the Championship since April, and they had only won twice away from home in the league last season.
Bradford to win
Peterborough United could be staring at the prospect of relegation this season, if their early form is anything to go by. The Posh have lost their last six matches and are without a win in their previous seven matches, stretching back to last season. Bradford City have begun their league campaign in excellent fashion, as the newly promoted side from League Two has picked up 10 points from their opening four league games.
Crewe to win
Gillingham have made a solid start to the season, with two victories and two draws in their opening four games. However, their record against Crewe is rather poor, as the home side have not won in the last four meetings between the two sides. The league leaders, Crewe, have made a perfect start to the season, winning all four of their league matches thus far, scoring 10 and conceding only twice.
Grimsby to win
Accrington Stanley have found success in the cup fixtures this season, beating Oldham Athletic and Peterborough United from League One. In the league, though, it’s been a different story, with no wins from their opening three games and two defeats. Grimsby Town are second in the league with three wins and a draw from their opening four matches.
