Tipped to finish the season as the top scorer, Adam Armstrong is looking to build on a stellar 2020/21 campaign with Blackburn Rovers and be their main man once again. Having netted 28 times for Rovers last season, Armstrong finished as the league’s second-highest scorer, just five goals behind record-breaker, Ivan Toney. In fact, Toney's 33 goals forced us to overlook what was a fabulous campaign of 28 goals for a team that didn't even reach the play-offs.
Armstrong will be without attacking midfielder, Harvey Elliott, who provided 11 assists during his season-long loan at Ewood Park from Liverpool. Now, they are yet to dip into the transfer window in search of a replacement, and a lack of creativity could prove a big problem for their talisman up top.
At just 24 years old, Armstrong has plenty of years in the bank already and the Blackburn forward is priced at 7/1 to finish the season as top scorer. However, he is not our tip, simply because of Blackburn's torrid transfer window.
