Championship Top Scorer Odds: Adam Armstrong Odds

Tipped to finish the season as the top scorer, Adam Armstrong is looking to build on a stellar 2020/21 campaign with Blackburn Rovers and be their main man once again. Having netted 28 times for Rovers last season, Armstrong finished as the league’s second-highest scorer, just five goals behind record-breaker, Ivan Toney. In fact, Toney's 33 goals forced us to overlook what was a fabulous campaign of 28 goals for a team that didn't even reach the play-offs.

Armstrong will be without attacking midfielder, Harvey Elliott, who provided 11 assists during his season-long loan at Ewood Park from Liverpool. Now, they are yet to dip into the transfer window in search of a replacement, and a lack of creativity could prove a big problem for their talisman up top.

At just 24 years old, Armstrong has plenty of years in the bank already and the Blackburn forward is priced at 7/1 to finish the season as top scorer. However, he is not our tip, simply because of Blackburn's torrid transfer window.

Championship Top Scorer Odds: Aleksandar Mitrovic

A man who knows the division inside out, however, is our tip for the Championship top scorer odds.

Aleksandar Mitrovic returns to the Championship and is amongst the favourites to finish as top scorer once again, just two seasons after scoring 26 goals from 40 games. He is a striker who seems to find his feet when dropping down a division, as he only has 14 goals from 64 outings in the Premier League.

Playing under his fourth manager since arriving at Craven Cottage, it will be down to former Everton boss, Marco Silva, to try and get the most out of Fulham's marksman.

We're backing him to get the award once more, as Fulham have seemingly grown this summer as well with the addition of Harry Wilson on a full-time contract, which only adds fuel to the Serbian's fire.

Mitrovic's top scorer odds are at 8/1.

Championship Top Scorer Odds : Charlie Austin Odds

Another player with proven Championship experience is Charlie Austin who, despite being in the twilight of his career, continues with his goalscoring abilities. Crucial in West Bromwich Albion’s successful 2019/20 promotion campaign, Austin found himself surplus to requirements in the latter stages of last season and moved to Queens Park Rangers during the January transfer window. In his second stint with the club, the striker scored eight times, before making the move permanent this season.

Scoring in QPR’s recent victory over Manchester United during a pre-season friendly, Austin looks to be entering the new season in strong form. The former Southampton striker managed 17 league goals in his last spell with the R’s and he will need to score a similar number if he is to challenge the top scorer charts this year.

As a 14/1 outsider to finish as the campaign's as the top scorer, Austin can't be ruled out just because of his age..

Championship Top Scorer Odds: Karlan Grant

Netting just once in 21 Premier League matches for West Brom last season, Karlan Grant will be hoping for more minutes and more goals in the Championship this time out. Having posted impressive numbers during the Baggies' promotion campaign, bigger things were expected of Grant in his maiden top-flight season, but now back in the second tier, he has his chance to prove his goalscoring prowess again.

The Englishman managed 19 goals and four assists for Huddersfield Town in 2019/20 before the move to the Midlands and with new the new manager, Valerien Ismael, Grant could be set for another excellent year.

An outside shot for the top scorer award, Grant is another pick priced at 14/1.

Championship Top Scorer Odds: Kieffer Moore

A proven goalscorer at club and international level, Kieffer Moore is likely to net a hatful for Cardiff City this season, just as he did last campaign.

The Wales international netted an impressive 20 goals in 2020/21, and his form was key to Cardiff’s late push for a play-off spot, however, this still wasn't enough for the Welsh side to make it. Now, Moore is carrying his solid form from Wales’ Euro 2020 campaign as well, where he scored the Dragon’s opening goal of the tournament as they reached a second consecutive knockout stage.

Cardiff are amongst the favourites to go up this season, with veteran boss Mick McCarthy having transformed their fortunes last year. Now, the 28-year-old is priced at 16/1 to continue his form from last campaign and get the Golden Boot.
