Last year's Supporters' Shield winners have not quite hit the ground running yet this season. With two wins from their first six matches of the season, they are currently six points off the top spot in the Western Conference.
However, former Swansea manager Bob Bradley is capable of turning things around to help his team try and reach the play-offs for a third consecutive season. In their ranks, they have former Arsenal youngster Carlos Vela and new signing Bradley Wright-Phillips who is the record goalscorer for New York Red Bulls.
Regarding the club's run-in of fixtures, three of their remaining five fixtures favourably come against opposition currently lower than themselves in the table including fellow side from Los Angeles LA Galaxy, who have been performing surprisingly badly this season following the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to AC Milan in January prior to the season beginning.
As well as LA Galaxy, LAFC will be going up against Seattle Sounders for a repeat of the Western Conference Final last year when Seattle won 3-1 before beating Toronto FC in the MLS Cup Final. The remainder of their fixture list, prior to the play-offs, is filled with three six-pointers against Real Salt Lake, Portland Timbers and San Jose Earthquakes, all of whom are in a really close battle to claim a play-off position and in contention for a place in next year's Leagues Cup.
Since their first season in the MLS in 2018, LAFC do have a perfect record of eventually reaching the Playoffs where anything can happen but they will have to fight off tough competition before that.
LAFC to win the MLS is now priced at 10/3 - click here to claim this bet and have it straight in your bet slip.
