With plenty of optimism in the air, England kick off their Euro 2020 campaign when they welcome Croatia to Wembley on Sunday 13th. Gareth Southgate and his men are expected to put on a good showing for the fans this tournament, with a squad littered with promising, star-quality talent.
One of the biggest stars for England is their captain, Harry Kane. who comes of the back of arguably his best-ever season. After a stellar campaign in which Kane scooped the Premier League Golden Boot award as well as the Playmaker award for his club, he can hit the ground running on Sunday with a goal to help his country against Croatia.
Croatia stopped England’s progression in the 2018 World Cup at the Semi-final stage, but Zlatko Dalic’s side have regressed since then. Plenty of their big hitters such as Luka Modric and Ivan Perisic, whilst Mario Mandzukic - the man who scored the winner in 2018 - has retired from international duty. Since that meeting in Russia, the two sides have met twice in the Nations League, drawing in October 2018 before England prevailed 2-1 a month later.
We're backing a youthful and fresh England side to get revenge on Croatia, and at 17/10, we're backing Kane to get a goal in doing so.
