Monaco will play host to Marseille on Saturday as they look to get their season back on track after a slow start to the season, but they did manage to get their first win of the campaign against newly-promoted Troyes last time out. A Sofiane Diop double would secure Monaco the three points as they won 2-1.
Marseille are also coming off a win as they beat St-Etienne 3-1 where Matteo Guendouzi would open the scoring for them, but St-Etienne would equalise soon after. In the second half, goals from Gerson and Cengiz Under would secure the three points for Marseille.
Both games were split last season. Marseille won the first game 2-1 with a late Wissem Ben Yedder penalty making the game seem more even, while the second clash saw Monaco win 3-1 convincingly after going a goal down early on.
Ben Yedder will need to improve after his poor performance in front of goal against Shakhtar Donetsk and we suspect Monaco will be the first team to leave Marseille pointless.
