Tanguy Ndombele Next club odds: Napoli

The favourites to sign the out-of-favour midfielder are Napoli, who are once again scrapping it out at the top end of the Serie A.

The Naples side could use the versatile player in their search for a first Scudetto since 1990 as they are currently dealing with the absentees of midfielders Piotr Zielinski and Andre Zambo Anguissa. Luciano Spalletti could use the loan signing of Ndombele to help spark some creativity into a side that has just scored three goals in their last five games. This link-up play with forwards Dries Mertens and Toronto-bound, Lorenzo Insigne, could be a dream matchup at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

With Napoli eager to get new midfielders in of this ilk, it looks like a deal that could happen at 3/1.

Tanguy Ndombele Next club odds: Roma

The reunion most would have thought was never plausible after Jose Mourinho was sacked by Spurs back in April could be on as Roma have been linked with Ndombele.

With reports from highly-rated French journalist Julien Maynard suggesting that Jose has personally called Ndombele, a reunion in the Eternal City may be on. Ndombele’s relationship with the two-time Champions League winner has been questioned in the past but in an interview in the Guardian in 2021, Ndombele stated: “if you know Mourinho then you understand how he behaves”.

This could help a Roma side that has struggled against the top sides in Serie A, winning only one of seven against the five teams above them. It would also be a much-needed addition to a relatively weak Roma side these days despite a decent transfer window.

Tanguy Ndombele Next club odds: AC Milan

This is seen as a potential swap deal with the Italian giants, as Spurs will look to cash in on their record signing and get an upgrade in return. Spurs have been highly linked with AC Milan midfielder, Franck Kessie, whose five goals in Serie A this season has given fans hope of a first Scudetto since 2011.

His reluctance to sign a new contract and with his at the San Siro up this summer had given Spurs hope that a January swap deal with Milan was possible. A wage cut by the Frenchman will be required for the deal to go through, however, with the Daily Mirror reporting on Milan’s “reluctance” to pay his 200k a week wages.

This one has some bumps to overcome to get done, but Ndombele remains a target for Milan at 6/1.

Tanguy Ndombele Next club odds: Lyon

A return to Ligue 1 and where he thrived in the past could be the greatest option for the Frenchmen as he looks to rejuvenate his career. Whilst at the French heavyweights, Ndombele was renowned for his forward-thinking and the way he could split defences with his balls. This was highlighted by his 14 assists in his two seasons at OL, as Lyon got back to back 3rd place finishes.

This creativity could be vital for Lyon this season, as they languish in 11th in Ligue 1, but on the other hand, there doesn't seem to be much of motivation or reasoning behind Ndombele making the move back to France in what would have to be considered a downgrade.

The Tanguy Ndombele transfer odds back to Lyon sit at 5/1.

Tanguy Ndombele Next club odds: Newcastle

Newcastle United are being linked to every name under the sun right now and especially those out of favour at their current club and in the Premier League. The Magpies have already smartly purchased Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid and Chris Wood from Burnley and it doesn't look as if they will stop there.

Ndombele is yet to completely impress in Spurs colours and in the Premier League in general, and it wouldn't necessarily be the smartest purchase for Newcastle. However, the Frenchman has proved himself at times and from his days with Lyon, Ndombele has proven to be a sensible choice in midfield.

Given how Spurs shipped out over £50m for him, it wouldn't be cheap to get him to move to the North East and it may even be too much for Newcastle to bother with after such torrid form for the Lilywhites at times.
