Coventry are hoping to record their first points of the Premier League season as they lock horns with Brighton this weekend.

The Sky Blues have endured a tough start to the campaign, losing all three of their opening games. In fairness to them, two of those were against Arsenal and Man City, but a 0-1 defeat at home to Hull City sandwiched in-between those losses was a bad omen for the remainder of the campaign.

It's important for any newly promoted side to get points on the board early and that's what Coventry will need to do, making this game extremely important.

Brighton, meanwhile, have made a decent start with four points from three games. Fabian Hurtzeler's men beat Aston Villa 4-0 on the opening weekend before losing to Chelsea (4-3) and drawing with Leeds (1-1).

Brighton are struggling with a long injury list at present and while they have the depth to cope, they'll need names to return to fitness as they start to juggle a Conference League campaign with Premier League football.

If they win here it'll be seven points from four games, which Hurtzeler would no doubt be delighted with.

Brighton To Win

Coventry City have endured a tough start to the season, failing to record a single point from their first three games, which included a home game against newly promoted Hull City. Brighton, though, are on four points and have scored eight goals in their first three games.

Diego Gomez To Be Carded

Diego Gomez is one of the more reliable card collectors in the Premier League, having averaged 0.34 cards per 90 since the start of last season.

Aurele Amenda To Be Carded

Aurele Amenda is no stranger to a booking, with the defender averaging 0.28 cards per 90 since the start of last season.

Diego Gomez To Have 1+ Shots On Target

Paraguayan Diego Gomez is known for his ferocious ball striking ability, and the midfielder has averaged 2 shots on target per 90 in the opening league games of the season. Last season, Gomez also averaged 0.6 shots on target per 90.
