West Ham United vs Brighton - Brighton to win
West Ham United are sleepwalking into relegation from the Premier League, as the Hammers have yet to really kick on from the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo. The home side for this fixture are winless in their last seven league games, with three consecutive defeats against Fulham (0-1), Manchester City (3-0) & Aston Villa (2-3). West Ham United have also failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 13 matches.
Brighton’s form reads no wins in five, however, the three defeats they have had have been against three of the current top four in Arsenal (2-1), Liverpool (2-0) & Aston Villa (3-4). Aside from this, the Seagulls have a good record against the Irons with no losses in the last four meetings between the two sides.
Nottingham Forest vs Everton - Nottingham Forest to win
Sean Dyche will be buoyed by his team’s display against Manchester City, which saw his side lose narrowly to the title challengers in a 2-1 scoreline. At home, the Reds have been relatively strong in recent weeks, with only two losses from their last seven at the City Ground, with four wins and a draw.
Everton have been toothless in attack since the departure of Iliman Ndiaye due to international duty, as the Toffees have failed to score in any of their last three games following two defeats against Arsenal (0-1), Chelsea (2-0) and a draw against Everton (0-0).
Burnley vs Newcastle - Newcastle to win
Burnley’s fate already looks determined this season, as the Clarets are looking at an immediate return to the Championship. Scott Parker’s men have now gone without a win in nine matches following their 0-0 draw against Everton. Interestingly, Burnley have only three wins to their name this season, coming against either their fellow promoted sides Leeds United and Sunderland or by beating Wolves, who have two points.
Newcastle United have a great record in this fixture, having won the last five meetings between themselves and the Clarets. The Magpies have lost twice in their last five by a single goal, however overall their form reads only two losses in seven in the Premier League, so they will fancy their chances against a Burnley side winless in nine.
Chelsea vs AFC Bournemouth - Chelsea to win
Chelsea have a tremendous record in this fixture, which should provide them edge and confidence following their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend. The Blues have remained unbeaten in the last nine meetings between the two sides and having scored first in five of the last seven fixtures between the two sides.
AFC Bournemouth are on their worst run of form for a long time since Andoni Iroala took charge of the club. The Cherries have not recorded a league victory since October and have since gone nine games without a win, with two defeats in their last five against Brentford (4-1) & Everton (0-1). The visitors have not kept a clean sheet in their last three matches.
Manchester United vs Wolves - Manchester United to win
Manchester United’s performances have improved in recent weeks, despite the results not reflecting thus performances. The Red Devils picked up a valuable 1-0 home win against Newcastle United last time out, meaning the hosts have only lost once in their last six league games and that was against an Aston Villa side who are on an 11-game winning streak. The Red Devils recorded an emphatic 4-1 win against Wolves in the reverse fixture between the two sides earlier this month.
Wolves are currently on course to be the worst performing side in the history of the Premier League, as the visitors are on a measly two points after 18 matches played. The away side have lost their last 12 league games, whilst going without a win in all competitions in their last 14. Unsurprisingly, Rob Edwards’ side have conceded first in each of their last 10 matches.
Crystal Palace vs Fulham - Fulham to win
Crystal Palace are on a poor run of form, with the Eagles without a win in their previous five matches in all competitions. In the Premier League, Oliver Glasner’s side have lost their last three league games with defeats to Tottenham Hotspur (0-1), Leeds United (4-1) & Manchester City (0-3).
Fulham have been rising up the table in recent matchweeks, as the Cottagers now sit level on points with the Eagles heading into this game. Marco Silva’s men have won their last three league games, with wins against West Ham (0-1), Nottingham Forest (1-0) & Burnley (2-3).
Liverpool vs Leeds United - Liverpool to win
Liverpool head into this game unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions, and having won their previous three league matches against Wolves (2-1), Tottenham (1-2) and Brighton & Hove Albion (2-0). Away from home, Leeds United have found life difficult with only one away victory against Wolves (1-3) this season. The Peacocks have lost four of their last six matches away from home, however, they have picked up two points from their last two visits to Brentford (1-1) and Sunderland (1-1).
