We've seen and heard some crazy things in football over the years - but this has to be up there with most ridiculous stories ever. Earlier today Derby County released a statement claiming that a Leeds United employee was at their training ground on Thursday afternoon. The 'spy' was escorted away from their base by police which disrupted training and clearly angered the club, as their statement proves. Well tonight on Sky Sports Football the pair face off in what is a huge clash at the top of the table and these bizarre events have added some extra spice to it.
All day there's been plenty of rumours surrounding this story but incredibly Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that he DID indeed send someone to spy on Derby training. He claims he's done this plenty of times during his career but never in England have we heard of something like this and it's fair to say that this has angered Rams boss Frank Lampard - who furiously spoke to Sky Sports on the issue before their game.
Lampard doesn't hold back and it's going to be interesting to see what comes from this, especially with The FA investigating it. See what the 40 year-old had to see on today ridiculous event below and tweet your thoughts on it to us @FootyAccums!
