There has long been the theory that Graeme Souness has a real agenda against Paul Pogba and after Manchester United’s win over Tottenham on Sunday, it’s fair to say it is pretty close to true.
Pogba appeared to rattle Souness during the 1-0 victory at Wembley with what the Scot felt should’ve been a straight red card after catching Dele Alli with a high boot - not that the 65-year-old ever did such a thing in his playing days.
Jamie Redknapp, fresh off of interviewing Pogba at half-time after he provided the assist for Marcus Rashford’s winner with a superb pass, argued against Souness, saying he had been guilty of a similar foul when attempting to shield the ball.
Elsewhere, Souness believed that this is the kind of thing Pogba should’ve been doing throughout the season even under Mourinho - something which Redknapp took exception to.
