It's been a difficult season for Manchester United Football Club and one man who's under more pressure than anyone else at the club is Jose Mourinho. The 55 year-old is in his third season in charge at Old Trafford and he's never once managed to make it 4 years in any managerial job before - so the spotlight is firmly on him at the moment. And matters haven't been helped by his sides below par start to the campaign which sees them languishing down in 7th position behind Everton and just a point ahead of Bournemouth. United are the only side in the top half to have a minus goal difference (-1) and their in desperate need of motivation after delivering a several disappointing performances.
On Tuesday night they were back in Champions League action and looking to pick up a massive win against Swiss Young Boys. Three points would guarantee United's passage through to the last 16 and they duly delivered, courtesy of a last gasp Marouane Fellaini effort in what was another underwhelming night at the 'Theatre of Dreams'. It was a tense night in Manchester and it showed when Mourinho showed just how stressed he is on the touchline after Marcus Rashford missed a first half chance.
The young England forward's miss prompted a look of disgust from the United boss who turned to his bench with his arms folded and a face like thunder - shaking his head in disappointment. Watching this back won't help Rashford's confidence in the slightest and it led to BT Sport's Gary Lineker claiming "If I saw my manager react like that, I would be absolutely livid". No words that Mourinho want to hear and it's going to be interesting to see if anything else comes from this, especially after Luke Shaw claimed the other day that the players have to be "thick skinned" to play under Mourinho.
