There's plenty of controversial characters in the footballing world but not many split opinion like Sergio Ramos. The Spain and Real Madrid man is without a doubt one of the best players in the world and his CV backs it up. La Liga winner, Champions League winner, World Cup winner - this guy has pretty much done it all but despite this he has plenty of enemies. Los Blancos' skipper is known for having an aggressive streak which has seen him pick up a lot of bookings and red cards over the years, along with some very high profile incidents in big games.
He famously dislocated Mohamed Salah's in the Champions League Final back in May after hauling him down to the ground unnecessarily, leaving Liverpool's star man in tears and jeopardising his World Cup hopes. Well on Wednesday night he made headlines for all the wrong reasons again in Real Madrid's thumping 5-0 win over CL minnows Viktoria Plzen. Los Blancos rolled out convincing winners in what was a productive performance but it'll be remembered for all the wrong reasons, after Ramos elbowed defender Milan Havel in the face.
The Czech defender immediately went down holding his face after being hit by the Spaniard, with blood pouring out of his now broken nose. Ramos claimed his innocence but the replays don't do him too many favours, so he's going to find himself trying to salvage his reputation once again.
