Santos are on a three game losing streak after suffering a 3-1 loss at Novorizontino in the aftermath of back-to-back 2-1 defeats to Botafogo SP and America Mineiro. In the run-up to these matches, Santos earned 4-0 and 2-1 victories over Brusque and Ponte Preta.

12th in the table Meizhou take on fifth in the standings Shandong in the Chinese Super League.

Meizhou ended their four-match winless streak with a narrow 1-0 win at Wuhan Three Towns last time out, having previously drawn 0-0 and 1-1 with Shenzhen Peng City and Changzhou Mighty Lions on either side of 4-1 and 3-2 losses to Chengdu and Beijing Guoan.

Remarkably, Shenzhen Peng City are in worse form as their only point in their last five outings was in a 0-0 draw at Meizhou. The visitors have suffered 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 and 6-0 defeats to Shanghai Shenhua, Shandong Taishan, Qingdao and Shanghai Port.

The final game on Friday’s Smart Acca sees second-place Shanghai Port make the trip to seventh-place Tianjin JMT.

Tianjin have failed to win both of their last two matches, as they suffered a 3-1 loss at Qingdao after a 1-1 draw with Shandong Taishan. Prior to these results, they had beaten Cangzhou 4-2 and Henan 2-1 on either side of a 0-0 draw with Shanghai Shenhua.

Shanghai Port’s form is superb, as they’ve won all of their last five fixtures, beating the likes of Cangzhou 4-1, Chengdu 2-0, Qingdao 5-3, Changchun 5-2 and Shenzhen 6-0.
