For our Huddersfield vs. Bristol City prediction, we're going for a 1-0 win for the away side.
Huddersfield Town continue their battle to avoid the drop to League One as they face Bristol City in the Championship on Tuesday night.
Huddersfield Town currently sit rock bottom of the Championship table with eight wins, seven draws and nineteen losses from thirty-four games this season.
The Terriers have had a dismal campaign that has unfortunately followed a hugely successful one that saw them reach the play-off final last year, but having failed to get close to last season's highs they're currently staring down the barrel of a drop to League One.
They enter this game amidst a typically poor run of form having won one and lost four of their last five matches in the league, the most recent of which was a damning 0-4 loss at home to Coventry City.
The defeat to Coventry was particularly concerning given it was a total blowout against a good but not necessarily remarkable side.
Their home form in general has been mixed with The Terriers winning two, drawing one and losing two of their last five matches on home soil.
Huddersfield are currently seven points shy of safety and are looking more likely to go down as the weeks go by. They are in desperate need of three points here but it's hard to see them winning anytime soon.
Bristol City currently sit 14th in the Championship with eleven wins, eleven draws and twelve losses from thirty-four games this season.
The Robins have had a mixed campaign under Nigel Pearson as they look set to cruise towards an unremarkable mid-table finish in the Championship.
They enter this game amidst a fairly poor run of form having won just one of their last five matches in all competitions, the most recent of which was a poor 2-0 defeat at Cardiff City.
The loss at Cardiff was a particularly frustrating one for The Robins given Cardiff are deep in a relegation battle at present.
That defeat aside, Bristol City's away form hasn't been too bad of late having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games on the road in all competitions.
The Robins beat Huddersfield 2-0 when the two sides last met back in August and given the struggles of their opponents they should expect themselves to claim a similar result in this game.
Bristol City's season is almost insignificance at this point and they need to avoid falling into the trap of complacency, with the concern being players checking out before its conclusion. Time will tell, but they should take three points here.
