Hull vs. Cardiff Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Hull vs. Cardiff prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the home side.

Hull City are looking to continue their impressive run of form as they face struggling Cardiff City this weekend.

Hull City currently sit 15th in the Championship with ten wins, seven draws and twelve losses from twenty-nine games this season.

The Tigers have been up and down this season but their form has picked up of late after a lengthy run of dismal form, with manager Liam Rosenior looking like he's finally starting to turn the screw in Yorkshire.

Hull enter this game won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five matches in the Championship, with their most recent game a convincing 3-0 win over Queens Park Rangers courtesy of an Aaron Connolly brace and an own goal from Robert Dickie.

The Tigers' home form hasn't been great of late having won only one of their last five league games on home soil, but that win did come in their most recent home game and they've also only lost once at home in that period.

Things are looking up for Hull as they sit just six points outside of the play-off spots coming into the business end of the season. The play-offs might be a long shot, but a strong end to the season form-wise would be hugely beneficial and they should make it two wins on the bounce here.

Cardiff City are currently 21st in the Championship with seven wins, eight draws and fourteen losses from twenty-nine games this season.

It's been a tough campaign for The Bluebirds as they find themselves looking well on course for a long, arduous relegation battle amidst a lengthy run of dismal form in the Championship.

Cardiff enter this campaign having failed to win any of their last twelve matches in all competitions and are coming off the back of a three-match losing streak having lost to Leeds United, Millwall and most recently Luton Town.

Their away record is equally poor, too, having lost each of their last three games on the road while failing to win any of their last five.

Cardiff were beaten 2-3 by Hull when the two sides met in the league back in November, and considering the respective form of the two sides it feels unlikely the result will improve here.

The Bluebirds are just three points clear of the relegation places having played a game more, and in some cases two, than the sides below them. They desperately need to start picking up wins but this one looks unlikely.
