Stamford Bridge plays host to an all-Premier League tie in the FA Cup fourth round on Friday night as Chelsea host Aston Villa.
Chelsea reached the fourth round of the FA Cup by beating Preston North End 4-0 in the third round thanks to goals from Armando Broja, Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterling and Enzo Fernández.
The Blues have very much had a mixed campaign so far as they've largely underperformed following an unprecedented spending spree over the course of the last year as Mauricio Pochettino's side sit 9th in the Premier League table.
They are, though, coming into this game as League Cup finalists having confirmed their place in next month's final after a resounding 6-1 win over Middlesbrough on Tuesday night, thereby rectifying their embarrassing 1-0 defeat in the first leg.
Given their league performance has been the subject of immense ridicule across the country, a trophy is just what the Todd Boehly project needs and if they can add that to their names at the season's halfway point it could have a galvanising effect on what is a young squad.
After Tuesday's win they'll be hungry for more cup success so it seems highly unlikely they'll be treating this game with any less seriousness than if it were a Premier League encounter, and considering they've now won five of their last six matches in all competitions they'll feel like they're in good shape to overcome a tough opponent.
With home advantage on their side they should, at the very least, avoid defeat in this one.
Aston Villa reached the fourth round of the FA Cup by beating Middlesbrough 1-0 away from home in a hard-fought victory thanks to what was a pretty fluke strike by Matty Cash.
Villa have, though, been a revelation under Unai Emery this season and are gunning for Champions League football, so given the strength of the team they have this year they'll probably see this competition as a good opportunity to win a trophy.
Their form has been pretty mixed of late as Emery's side come into this game having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games, the most recent of which was a 0-0 draw away at Everton.
Villa are all-conquering on home soil but away from home they're slightly more vulnerable as they currently boast a record of just two wins in their last six games on the road.
This is, then, a tough game for Villa on the road but they're more than capable of claiming a result given they beat Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge back in September.
Chelsea are much improved from then, though, and things won't come quite as easily this time around.
For our Chelsea vs. Aston Villa prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.
