For our Sheffield United vs. Blackburn Rovers prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.
Two Championship clubs hoping to make the FA Cup semi-finals meet on Sunday as Blackburn Rovers travel to face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United are looking to make a first semi-finals appearance in the FA Cup since the 2013/14 season where they were beaten 5-3 by Hull City.
The Blades are having a strong season in the Championship as they sit 2nd in the league table with just nine games to go.
They enter this game amidst a mixed run of form, however, having won three and lost two of their last five matches in the league.
The Blades' form has undoubtedly wobbled since the World Cup break and they haven't been quite as imposing as they were during the first half of the campaign. They do, though, boast a tonne of individual quality that can often see them through tight games.
Their form at home is equally hit and miss having won three and lost two of their last five games at Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in the fifth round so they enter this game in good confidence regarding what they can do on their day.
They're the favourites for this game but nothing is guaranteed.
Blackburn Rovers are looking to make the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time since the 2006/07 campaign, where they were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea.
The six time champions are having a strong season under Jon Dahl Tomasson as they find themselves 5th in the Championship table.
They've been playing some of their best stuff of the season in recent weeks too, as they enter this game having won six of their last seven matches in all competitions, the most recent of which was a 2-1 win over Reading.
In the last round Rovers, like their opponents, eliminated Premier League opposition as they beat Leicester City 2-1 away from home in a commanding, impressive performance.
Rovers' form on the road has been up and down of late, though, having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five away games.
These two sides met just a few weeks back with Rovers emerging 1-0 winners at Ewood Park in a Championship contest. They did, however, fall to a heavy 3-0 defeat when they last visited Bramall Lane back in August so that's something to be wary of.
This should be a competitive game with both sides determined to secure a trip to Wembley. Rovers are the underdogs here but this one could go either way.
