Blackpool will be aiming to close the gap to the playoff places with a win as they are set to welcome Carlisle United to Bloomfield road on Saturday afternoon.
After an average start to their campaign, the Seasiders currently find themselves in 8th position in the League One table after picking up 30 points from their 20 league games so far this season. This comes following 8 wins, 6 draws and 6 defeats.
Neil Critchley’s side come into this weekend on the back of a good run of form which has seen his side record two victories in their past three league outings. Both victories came in impressive fashion as the Seasiders defeated Shrewsbury and Portsmouth both 4-0.
Carlisle have found the adjustment back to League One difficult and currently find themselves in 22nd position in the table. The Blues have gained just 15 points from their 19 league outings and have only recorded 3 league victories.
