For our Cambridge vs. Peterborough prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
Two sides with contrasting ambitions meet in League One this weekend as Cambridge United host Peterborough United.
Cambridge United currently sit 22nd in League One with ten wins, seven draws and twenty-three losses from forty games this season.
it's been a dismal season for The U's who now find themselves fighting for their lives in the relegation zone with just six games remaining.
They have, though, given their fans cause for optimism in recent games as they enter this match having won two and drawn one of their las three matches.
They enter this game fresh off the back of a 1-1 draw away at play-off chasing Bolton Wanderers courtesy of a 95th minute equaliser from Sam Smith to secure what could be an invaluable point for Cambridge.
That draw will have felt like a win and they'll now enter this game with the wind in their sails as they look to claim another huge result.
Their form at home has been mixed in recent weeks having won one, drawn one and lost two of their last four games on home soil.
Cambridge are three points shy of safety with an unfavourable goal difference and need to continue their good form if they are to secure survival. They face a tough test here but anything is possible at this time of the season.
Peterborough United currently sit 5th in League One with twenty-two wins, four draws and fifteen losses from forty-one games this season.
The Posh have had a rollercoaster season in terms of form and have embarked upon sustained runs of both wins and losses, as can be seen by the fact they've lost significantly more games than any other side in the top six.
However, that does not matter as they're put together a good run of form at the right time as they enter this game unbeaten in their last six matches having won five and drawn one of those.
Their most recent game saw them comfortably beat Exeter City 3-1 at home, a result that confirmed their second win on the bounce by an aggregate scoreline of 6-1.
Their form away from home has been excellent of late too, with Darren Ferguson's side winning four of their last five games on the road including each of their last three by an aggregate scoreline of 11-2.
Cambridge will be a difficult test for Peterborough given they're fighting for their lives, but The Posh also have plenty to play for here and are in excellent form so they should fancy themselves for all three points.
