Lincoln vs. Peterborough Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Lincoln vs. Peterborough prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.

Peterborough United continue their play-off push in League One as they face Lincoln City this weekend.

Lincoln City currently sit 13th in League One with nine wins, eighteen draws and eight losses from thirty-five games this season.

The Imps have had a fairly average campaign for the most part but will be frustrated given an excessive number of draws has stopped them being as competitive as they could have been given how difficult they are to beat.

They're exceptionally difficult to beat at home, too, where they haven't lost a single game on home soil all season.

They enter this game amidst a fairly poor run of form overall having won one, drawn three and lost one of their last five matches, the most recent of which was a 2-1 defeat away at Exeter City.

Lincoln are in no real danger of being dragged into the relegation battle and are even less likely to make the play-offs so their season is in effect over. How that will affect this game remains to be seen but they'll certainly want to preserve their unbeaten home record.

Peterborough are currently 8th in League One with fourteen wins, twelve draws and ten losses from thirty-six games this season.

The Posh have been up and down this season and have been one of the most erratic teams in the league, seemingly unable to decide if they want to finish in the top six or not.

They enter this game amidst a typically mixed run of form having won two and lost two of their last four matches, the most recent of which was a 5-2 win away at Burton Albion.

Their form away from home has overall been good of late having won three and drawn two of their last five games on the road.

Peterborough hammered Lincoln 4-0 when these two met in the league back in August but given Lincoln's strength on their own turf it's very, very unlikely that result gets repeated here.

Peterborough are six points shy of the play-off spots with ten games to go so they're well within a shout of making the top six, but their chances would increase exponentially if they could find a way to become more consistent. A win here would be huge for their chances.

            Lincoln Team News

Timothy Eyoma is a doubt for the home side with manager Mark Kennedy set to ring the changes in terms of the starting XI.

            Peterborough Team News

Peterborough have no fresh injury worries here and will likely stick with the same XI that started the 5-2 win at Burton Albion last time out.
