Sixfields Stadium hosts Northampton Town and Wigan Athletic this Saturday. The hosts will be looking to close in on the Play-offs, whereas Wigan will be looking for the three points to put some more wiggle room between them and the relegation zone.

Wigan’s one win was against Carlisle. A Josh Magennis penalty and a goal from Liam Morrison gave Wigan the 2 - 0 lead at halftime. Despite registering 19 shots, Wigan couldn’t find the back of the net again and the game ended in a 2 - 0 win for Wigan. Barnsley took the lead in the added time of the first half through Devante Cole, but an 87th minute goal from Jonny Smith grabbed a 1 - 1 draw for Wigan.
The most recent outing for Wigan was in the Third Round of the FA Cup against Manchester United. A goal from Diogo Dalot and a penalty from Bruno Fernandes gave United the 2 - 0 win.
