For our Peterborough vs. Exeter prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.
Peterborough United continue their promotion push in League One as they face Exeter City this weekend.
Peterborough United currently sit 6th in League One with twenty-one wins, four draws and fifteen losses from forty games this season.
The Posh have very much had a rollercoaster season in terms of form as they've fluctuated between being a top six side and mid-table team courtesy of long runs of wins and losses, but they enter this game in good form as they look to finish the season strongly and secure a top six finish.
Peterborough are now unbeaten in their last five matches having won four and drawn one of them.
Their most recent encounter saw them claim a 3-0 win away at Shrewsbury Town, a result that meant they've now scored thirteen goals and conceded just two in their last four wins.
Their form at home has been fairly inconsistent, though, having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games on home soil.
The play-off race is very tight in League One and Peterborough find themselves in the top six on goal difference only, with Derby County currently level with them on points.
They do, then, need to win as close to all of their remaining games as possible and this one is a clash they should take three points from.
Exeter City currently sit 11th in League One with fourteen wins, eleven draws and fifteen losses from forty games this season.
Exeter have had a very successful campaign in League One following promotion from League Two last time out as they look set to cruise towards a comfortable mid-table, or hopefully top half, finish.
Their recent form is solid enough having won two, drawn one and lost one of their last four matches, the most recent of which was a 0-1 defeat at home to Bolton Wanderers.
Their form away from home is much concerning, however, having failed to win any of their last five games on the road, drawing two and losing three.
Exeter can take confidence from the fact they beat Peterborough 3-2 when the two sides met back in November, but given they're sacrificing home advantage this one will likely be much tougher.
Expect a fairly competitive encounter here but given Peterborough have much more at stake, combined with Exeter's poor away form, The Posh should secure what will likely be a big three points in this one.
