For our Newport vs. Barrow prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
Barrow are searching for a much-needed win as they welcome Newport County in League Two this weekend.
Barrow currently sit 10th in League Two with twelve wins, five draws and twelve losses from twenty-nine games this season.
Barrow have been mixed in terms of form this season and despite showing signs of being a legitimate play-off contender at multiple points this season they're beginning to look as though they're starting to tail off.
They enter this game having drawn two and lost two of their last four matches in the league while only managing to win one of their last ten league fixtures (W1 D4 L5).
Most recently Barrow were held to a 1-1 draw away at Colchester United after conceding an agonising 96th minute equaliser after leading for most of the second half. The draw will feel very much like a loss and Barrow now have a tough task regrouping before this fixture.
Their home form isn't great, either, having drawn one and lost three of their last four league matches.
Barrow are in dire need of a win as their season is in danger of petering out into irrelevance despite them sitting only one point outside of the play-off spots. The run they're currently on is highly concerning and needs to be addressed imminently.
Newport County currently sit 19th in League Two with seven wins, eight draws and twelve losses from twenty-seven games this season.
The Welsh side have struggled for the most part this campaign and have had a season to forget as they look destined for an unremarkable mid-table finish. They did lose top scorer Dominic Telford in the summer, in fairness, and they'll be hoping that striker Charlie McNeill - singed on loan from Manchester United in January - can help fill that void for the remainder of the season.
They enter this game in poor form having won one, drawn three and lost one of their last five league matches but that win came in their most recent game where they beat play-off chasing Swindon Town 2-1, so they'll be hoping that result helps propel them to further wins in the coming weeks.
They've only won one of their last five away games, however, so their form on the road is not particularly encouraging here.
Newport were beating 0-2 by Barrow back in September so they'll be looking for revenge here, and given the form of their opponents Newport should feel they're there for the taking.
